Linda L. DeHaven, 79 of Huntington passed away at 2:12 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Linda was a 1956 graduate of Huntington High School. She had worked at Community State Bank for 17 years, Majestic Corporation for 18 years and most recently as secretary for the Huntington County Sheriff’s Department for 23 years. Linda volunteered at Parkview Huntington Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and doing needlework.
Linda was born on November 28, 1937 in Huntington, the daughter of Walter and Clara (Sorgen) Brubaker.
She was united in marriage to A. J. “Jack” DeHaven on September 6, 1969 in Huntington at the United Church of Christ. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1998.
Survivors include two sisters: Mary (Douglas) Davis of Defiance, OH; Shirley (DeWayne) Glass of North Manchester; three nephews: William (Linda) Glass of North Manchester; Matthew Davis of Defiance, OH; Mark (Jennifer) Davis of Columbus, OH; two nieces: Eva Glass of North Manchester and Debra (Tim) Bouchard of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Clara Brubaker, a niece: Kathy Hohenbrink and a brother: Daniel Brubaker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
