Linda D. Hoke, 74, Marion, died at Lutheran Hospital at 1:04 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. She was born in Marion to Harry Weller and Evelyn (McMasters) Weller-Bunton, who preceded her in death. Linda married Glen R. Hoke on June 7, 1959, and he survives.
Linda retired from Handy Andy Food Stores, where she was a store manager for over forty years. She was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Jeff Gordon, and also followed IU basketball. Linda also loved horses and watching birds. She always looked forward to the Swayzee lady luncheons with her friends.
She will be missed by her daughters, Karen (Mark) Potts, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Sandy (Chris) Porter, Bloomington; grandsons, Danny Porter and Christopher Porter; great-grandson, Oliver; several nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Beckie Hoke, Dewayne (Carolyn) Hoke, and Donald Hoke.
There will be no services at this time but, rather, a celebration of life at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
