Laura Ellen (Ellenwood) Pratt, 64, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on September 16, 2016 at 2:44 pm at her home in Roanoke.
She worked at General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 2006. She was a loving and devoted mom, grandma, sister and aunt. She was creative, and enjoyed painting, sewing and cross stitch.
Laura was born June 19, 1952 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Thomas A. and Sarah E. (Gray) Taylor. On January 26, 1998 she married her beloved husband Ted J. Pratt in Kokomo, Indiana, and he passed away July 20, 2015. She is survived by a daughter Dena (Jon) Joseph of Columbia City, a son Dan (Kris) Ellenwood of Murrieta, California 6 grandchildren Jackson & Cooper Ellenwood and Maxwell, Samuel, Lilly & Clarice Joseph, 4 sisters Kimberly Hopkins of Ossian, Tammy Hopkins of Lafayette, Lori (Eric) Bommer of Kewaskum, WI, and Lisa (Harry) Wade of Flint, MI, 2 aunts Dawn Gilbert of Spring Hill, FL and Jessie (Bill) Isenhauer of Grayling, MI, stepdaughter Holly (Greg) Steele, step grandchildren Jake and Grace Steele, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday October 29 at 11;00 am at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 1523 N. Oak Rd., Davison, MI.
