Larry was born in Indianapolis on December 25, 1946. He was one of six children born to the late Bernard and Mary (Jackson) Deavers, Sr. He passed away on June 3, 2016 in his home.
Larry was a 1966 graduate of Summittville High School. He was employed at General Motors for 30+ years and retired in 2004. On July 24, 1977 he married Brenda J. Woodward. Mrs. Deavers survives in their Marion home. Larry was a sports fan and enjoyed participating in his Crest Lanes bowling league.

Deavers, Dunkirk; brothers, Wayne (Joyce) Deavers, Alexandria; Gary (Kathy) Deavers, Elwood; Bernard (Judy) Deavers, Jr., Fairmount; Tim (Terri) Deavers, Hartford City; sister, Phyllis (David) Charles, Ferndale, Michigan; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana. Extended family and friends will gather from 4pm until services on Tuesday in the funeral home.
