Larry Ray Black, age 67, of Andrews, died at 7:33 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his home.

Visitation will be from 5 – 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Military rites will immediately follow at Bailey-Love Mortuary performed by VFW Post #2689 of Huntington.

Larry was born June 29, 1950 in Clarksville, Tennessee, the son of Carnell and Mary M. (Mae) Black. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He married Lynn Ann Harness on April 21, 1988 in Huntington. He retired from Wayne Metal after many years as a welder and was a member of VFW Post #2689. Larry was a kind, caring, loving husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially going fishing with his friends and grandson.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years – Lynn Ann Black of Andrews; four sons – Larry (Kirsten) Black of Huntington, David L. Black of Fort Wayne, and Alex Roberson and Ricky Black, both of Huntington; a daughter – Emmy L. Black of Andrews; a brother – Gerald (Betty) Black of Huntington; three sisters – Patricia Middleton of Boise, Idaho, Joyce Garrison of Warsaw, and Cheryl (Jim) Bannister of Bippus; two stepbrothers – Roger (Shelly) Arquette and William Arquette, both of Huntington; five grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Larry R. Black and John C. Black, and a brother, Robert Black.
