Kevin Drake, 91, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 6:23 a.m. at Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Drake was born on October 8, 1925, in Yorkshire, England to Joseph and Ellen (Keighery) Drake. His parents preceded him in death. He married Sheila Dorothy Calligan on September 10, 1955. She survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Mr. Drake served in the British Merchant Navy for 10 years. He worked at Locke Steel Chain and United Technology as a machine operator before retiring. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
Along with his wife of 61 years, he is survived by one son, Nicholas (Kym) Drake, Carlsbad, CA; two daughters, Geraldine (Bob) Ehinger, Sharon (Keenan) Kaiser, both of Huntington, IN; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Drake was preceded in death by one brother Desmond Drake; and one sister, Joan Green.
There will be no calling hours.
A private Memorial Mass and burial will be held at a later date.
