Kenneth Maurice “Kenny” Huffman, 61, lifelong resident of Marion, was received into the arms of Jesus at 2:12 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born in Marion, Indiana on January 9, 1956 to the late Maurice Frederick “Moose” Huffman and Roseanne (Woolman) Huffman. Kenny was a 1974 graduate of Marion High School and attended Marion College. On December 19, 1986, Kenny married Vickie Chriestenson and she survives.
Kenny was employed as a recreational assistant with the Marion VA Health System for 36 years before retiring in 2013. He attended Calvary Assembly of God in Marion. Over the years, Kenny was a dedicated coach and coached many Little League and basketball teams. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan and liked playing sports, especially table tennis and baseball.
Kenny is survived by Vickie, his loving wife of 30 years; his mother, Roseanne Good, Marion; his furbabies, who were like children to him; sisters, Mary (James) Riddle, Marion, Debbie (Mark) Goodison, Marion and Becky (Jim) Helfinstine, Ohio; 1 step-brother and 2 step-sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a countless number of friends.
In addition to his father, Kenny was preceded in death by his step-father, Wayne Good.
The family will receive visitors from 2-6 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, IN
A funeral service for Kenny will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
