Kay (Coffey) Hunt

Kay (Coffey) Hunt, 77, of Fort Wayne died Monday, March 5, 2018, at Hamilton Place in Fort Wayne.

She was born August 24, 1940, in Kokomo to Leo “Bud” and Garnet (McCoy) Wunder.

She graduated from Eastern High School in Greentown, and had worked in interior and flower design.

On August 12, 2004, she married Jay D. Hunt. He survives in Fort Wayne.

She had lived in Fort Wayne for several years, formerly from Fairmount.

Mrs. Hunt was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne.

Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy (John) Yarnelle of Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Shari Hunt of Leesburg; a stepson JD (Kellie) Hunt of Fairmount; six grandchildren, Hannah (Travis) Mullendore, Sarah Yarnelle, Brooke (Dakoda) Labenz, Eli Yarnelle, and Luke Yarnelle, and Cassidy (AJ) Knapp; and two stepgrandchildren, Conner Hunt and Caleb Hunt; four great-grandchildren, Shiloh Mullendore, Micah Mullendore, Olive Mullendore, and Diana Knapp; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Autumn Hunt; a brother, Steve (Wanda) Wunder of Greentown; and two nieces, Tammy (Stan) Oyler of Greentown and Tracey Corich of Zionsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Diana Workman; and a grandson, Seth Yarnelle.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene, 1062 Liberty Mills Road, Fort Wayne with Pastor John Clark and Pastor Wes Ball officiating. Burial will be at Phlox Cemetery near Greentown at a later date.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Heartland Home Health, Hospice, IV Care.
