Kathern L. Hinds, 92, of Big Lake, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 6:16 p.m., at Norwood Health & Rehabilitation Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Hinds was born on May 16, 1924, to Howard and Maude Davis Roebuck. Her parents preceded her in death. She married her husband of 75 years, Dwight J. Hinds on July 20, 1941, he survives.
Mrs. Hinds was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. She sold Avon for 45 years, serving both Huntington and Columbia City.
Kathern is survived by her daughter Gloria (Jerry) Landrum of Huntington. Three grandchildren Scott (Holly) Landrum, Angie (Matt) Tyner, and Randy Landrum all of Huntington. Four great grandchildren Lainey (Damon) Wilkinson, Emma Landrum, Phoebe Landrum, and Hattie Landrum all of Huntington and one great great granddaughter Dixie Wilkinson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Bob Roebuck, Bill Roebuck, and Gene Roebuck, and one great grandson Dustin Tyner.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the viewing, with Reverend Chris Mongson officiating.
Burial will be at The Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to either Zion United Methodist Church or Premier Hospice in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.
