Karen Kay Gant, 58, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:30 pm, May 11, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born November 25, 1957 in Wabash, to Kenneth and Ilean “Jo” (Eltzroth) Sellers.

Karen attended South Side Freewill Baptist Church, in Wabash. She enjoyed fishing and hunting with her father, riding horses, watching movies, riding her scooter around town, collecting Native American things, and was a “free-spirit.” She previously worked at the Sweet Shop, Shirt Shed, and Cyclone Seeder, all of Wabash. Karen lived in Houston, Texas 6 years before moving back to Wabash.

She is survived by two children, Lisa Marie Gant of Wabash, and Audie Lee (Misty) Gant of Franklin, Indiana, five grandchildren, Valerie and Jasmine Gant of Franklin, Natalie, Chasity, and Kaleb Honeycutt, all of Wabash, sister, Kim (Jimmy) Rife of Roann, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Dakota Honeycutt, brother, Michael Sellers, and sister, Melody Hiner.

There will be no services.
