Justin L. Burke, 57, Gas City, died at 3:39 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana on August 31, 1960, to William Scott Burke and the late Evelyn N. (Powers) Percy. He was a 1978 graduate of Marion High School. Justin married Kathy Clem on May 24, 1997. She survives.
Justin was employed at Super Value in Ft. Wayne for 19 years prior to working at the Walmart Distribution Center for 9 years, and Pizza Hut delivery for 10 years. He was a member of Eastview Wesleyan Church. Justin enjoyed working in his yard and building things himself including the shed and deck at his home. He also loved spending time with his grandkids. Justin was a St. Louis Cardinals, Colts, I.U. and NASCAR fan.
In addition to his father and wife, Justin is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Justin) Lyons, Marion, step-daughter, Amber (fiancé Andrew Burbank) Clem, Gas City; step-sons, Shaun Jones and Ed (Jodi) Shannahan, Fishers; grandchildren, Bryson Clem, Braylon Timmons, Madilyn Lyons, Piercen Lyons, Kori Jones, Myah Jones, Maycee Jones, Ameera Shannahan, Dastan Shannahan, and another on the way; brothers, Randy (Denise) Burke, Wabash and Sandy (Kim) Burke, Converse; sisters, Lyvonne Nightenhelser, Warren, and Sheila (Dan) O’Keefe, St. Louis; special friends, Larry Summit, Kenny Hannah and Roland Waters.
Justin is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Percy; stepfather, Warren Percy; step-brothers, Eddie and Danny Percy.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 25, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Eastview Wesleyan Church, 414 N. 10th St, Gas City. A service to celebrate Justin’s life will be held immediately following visitation at 6 p.m. with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
