It is with great sorrow that the family and friends of Julie Kay (Wood) Coppock, 56, announce her passing at 11:29 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016, in her Marion residence. After a successful kidney transplant on November 11, 2009, Julie’s family and friends were blessed to share in Julie’s life for seven additional years, until losing her to a recent brief battle with lung cancer.

Julie was born on May 9, 1960, to the late Ira and Joyce (Stewart) Wood. She was a 1978 graduate of Marion High School and married Tony Coppock on June 18, 1980. Julie attended Nelson St. Wesleyan Church and was employed as a cake decorator at Lances Supermarket. She loved life, enjoying crafts, baking and nature. She will be missed by many.

Above all else, Julie valued her family. She is survived by her husband, Tony Coppock; three children, Tony II, Nicole “Nikki” and Marc; as well as one grandchild, Nancy Coppock; one sister, Jill; and many extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by a son, Earl Eugene Coppock II.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, IN.

A celebration of life for Julie will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, with Rev. Steven Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery.
