Juilenne “Judy” Day, 84, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center, Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, to the late Kenneth and Ruth (Howell) Carl, Sr. She married Harry James Day on August 22, 1954, and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1984.

Judy was a secretary for Mississinewa Community Schools and retired after 32 years of service. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star – Upland #411 and a member of Gas City First United Methodist Church.

Ever since Judy was three years old, she was singing. Music was in her heart and soul, and she enjoyed a variety of music. She sang in three different church choirs, as well as participated in the Easter Pageant for 50 years. Judy was a blessing to many and will be dearly missed.

Loved ones Judy leaves behind include her son, Michael L. (Melanie Asher) Day, Gas City; grandchildren, Erin (Zachary) Manton, Sweetser, Mark E. Day, Gas City, and Bryan Scott (Carie) Levensky; great-grandchildren, Brendon, Trystan, Caden, and Avery; sister, Darlene (Everardo) Aguilar, Sweetser; brother, Kenneth D. (Laurie) Carl, Jr., Washington, Pennsylvania; and nieces and nephews, Kelly, Karie, Kenny III, Andy, Josh, Beth, Carla, and Manuel.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her son, James Edward Day, in 1994.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Gas City First United Methodist Church, 213 E. S. A St., Gas City. Eastern Star rites will take place at 12:45 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Pastors Zachary Manton and Jeff Herron will officiate with burial following at Riverside Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City.
