Judy Ann Harlan, 70, Marion, lost her battle with mesothelioma cancer at 1:46 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion, IN, to the late Lee and Lorene (Purvis) Goodpaster. On February 14, 1965, Judy married Dale Harlan, and they just celebrated 51 years together.

Judy was a 1963 graduate of Gaston High School. She worked in the white room at RCA for nearly 26 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge 21 in Jonesboro, Job’s Daughters, and New Hope Baptist Church in Gas City.

Judy enjoyed Zumba, golfing, and going to Myrtle Beach (Snow Bird). Most of all, she loved her family and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Dale; daughters, Lori (Paul) Rohrer, Westfield, and Robbie Ward, Lexington, KY; step-children, Marjorie (Jeff) Covey, Muskegon, MI, Karen Bauer, Dowagiac, MI, and Jay (Gina) Harlan, Easley, SC; sister, Nancy “Corene” Thomas, Zionsville; grandchildren, Andrew Rohrer, Logan Rohrer, Kameron Sexton, Nicholas Sexton, Stacy Covey, Randi (David) Count, Arron (Sarah) Bauer, and Heidi Warne; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death was her brother, Robert Goodpaster.

Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. S. C St., Gas City, IN.

Services to celebrate Judy’s life will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, at the church with Pastors Tim Hewitt and Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Etna Cemetery in Huntington County.
