Juanita Rose Leach, 80, Marion, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016, after a brief illness. She was born in Fowlerton, Indiana, on February 26, 1936, to the late Rev. Joseph and Elizabeth (Rahrar) Leach.

Juanita graduated from Albion High School and Marion College with her B.S. in Elementary Education. She received her Master’s degree from Ball State University with a specialty in reading. She taught two years at Clay Township School and 30 years at JC Knight in Mississinewa School District. She was church organist for many years at Jonesboro Wesleyan Church and, in later years, played piano for chapel services at College Wesleyan Church. She was a faithful long-time member of College Church.

With her passing she leaves a sister, Sondra (Lowell) Crow, Bloomington; brother, Burr (Judy) Leach, Marion; nieces and nephews, Lowell David (Gwen) Crow, Mariesa Crow (Jim) Drewniak, Todd (Mary) Leach, Tanya Thompson, Tiffany (Joseph) Middlebrooks, and Troy (Michele) Leach; and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at College Wesleyan Church, 200 E. 38th St., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Alex Mandura officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
