Juanita Mae (Bullard) Meiboom, 78, Marion, went home to be with the Lord and her husband, Paul, on Friday, August 5, 2016. She was born in Salinas, California, on January 20, 1938, to Oliver J. Bullard and Edith L. (Mealer) Bullard. She lived most of her life in Arkansas and Indiana. On June 6, 1964, Juanita married Paul Meiboom, and he went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2010. Juanita graduated from Mississinewa High School and attended Ball State University.
Juanita enjoyed church, cooking, birds, and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Upland Eastern Star, was a past Matron of Jonesboro Eastern Star, past Guardian of Job’s Daughters Bethel #70 Gas City, and past leader of Girl Scouts. Previous employment was with the VA Hospital, George’s Flowers, and Mississinewa Community Schools.
Survivors include her precious daughter, Zabrina Meiboom; nieces, Teresa Cauble (Bob), Kokomo, and Angie Kellar, Kokomo; nephews, Dewey R. Meiboom (Lea), Florida, John Bullard (Lori), North Carolina, and Jim Bullard, Georgia. She is also survived by her best friends, Shirley Ball, Gas City, and Marjorie Wysong, Marion, as well as her Grand Dogs, Buffy and Libby.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul; parents, Oliver J. Bullard and Edith L. (Mealer) Bullard; and brothers, Thomas E. Bullard and Oliver J. Bullard, Jr.
Per Juanita’s request, there will be no visitation. Rev. Howard Clayton will officiate graveside services at Grant Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 1 p.m.
Juanita and Zabrina want to thank Dr. Ramesh Patel and staff who have given such excellent loving care since 1975.
