Joyce E. Colbert, 74, of Warren (Heritage Pointe), IN, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on Thursday, July 23, 1942, in Blackford Co., IN. Joyce was a 1960 graduate of Hartford City High School and a 1991 graduate of Ivy Tech, where she received her Associate Degree in Mental Health Rehabilitation. Joyce was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hartford City, IN.
Survivors include: Three Sons – Jeffrey L. (Peg) Colbert, Waverly Hall, GA, Joseph A. (Leslie) Colbert, Munford, TN, Jay W. (Marcia) Colbert, Angola, IN, Special Friend – Ed Hollander, Warren, IN, Brother – Harold E. (Carolyn) Hiser, Avon, IN, Sister – Virginia (Larry) Langdon, Warren, IN, Brother – Norman (Rita) Hiser, Warren, IN, Brother – Dennis Hiser, Indianapolis, IN, 8 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and 4 Gr. Gr. Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents-John Winslow & Beatrice (Schultz) Hiser.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel 801 Huntington Ave. Warren on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A committal service will be held at Gardens of Memory in Muncie following the viewing hours by Pastor David Fleener. Interment will take place in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. The family will be having another memorial service at a later date.
