Joy Ann Ennis, 59, Marion, died at 1:58 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Portland, Indiana, to Willard and Ruth (Jester) Derrickson. She married Jeffrey W. Ennis on November 6, 1999, and he survives.

Joy was a homemaker and previously worked as an In-home Health Care Nurse for Gentiva. She was a very active member of Twin City Bible Baptist, serving in the pre-school and XYZ senior ministry. She was also a member of Smile Seekers Clown Ministry. Joy participated in history reenactments and enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey; mother, Ruth Ailene Garr, Hartford City; children, Jason Allen, Boise, Idaho, Heather Pond, Swayzee, Amber (Cody) McKee, Galveston, and Andrea McIntire, Rochester; brothers, Keith Garr, Hartford City, Jim (April) Derrickson, Portland, Les Derrickson, Portland, and Will Derrickson, Fort Wayne; sisters, Mary Ruth (William) Woods, Marion, Nancy Loyd, Portland, and Sherri (Kelvin) Stiegall, California; eight grandchildren; step-mother, Berna Dean Derrickson, Portland; and several nieces and nephews.

Joy was preceded in death by her father, Willard Derrickson; daughter, Jenny Allen; son, Jai Allen; sister, Linda Carroll Derrickson; and step-father, Richard Garr.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Twin City Bible Baptist Church, 7252 S. Meridian St., Marion, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the church with Pastor Dale Schuiteman officiating. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Salamonie Cemetery.
