Joseph H. “Jay” Huber III, 64, of Peru, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 9:39 AM at Indiana University Hospital of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Washington DC on February 22, 1952, the son of Joseph H. Jr. and Carolyn Cole Huber. Jay married Deborah McElheny on May 9, 1986 and she survives. Jay was a graduate of Howe Military Academy and a 1974 graduate of Indiana University. He was employed by Indiana National Bank and the Peru Trust Company. Jay was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He loved to cook. Jay never met a stranger and his sense of humor and outgoing friendliness were his trademark. Surviving in addition to his wife Debbie are a daughter Kelly Kinser and her husband Brian of Fishers, Indiana, a sister Marilyn Hartz of Nashville, TN and nephews Andrew Hartz and his wife Mary Joe of Nashville, TN and Alex Hartz and his wife Helen of Nashville, TN. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the St. Charles Catholic Church Guerin Center, 80 W. 5th Street, Peru, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Joseph H. Huber III will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday at the St. Charles Church Guerin Center with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the St. Charles Catholic Church Restoration Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, Indiana.
