Jordon Richards

Jordon was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky to the late Michael W. Richards and Michelle G. (Huddleston) Richards.

Jordon spent the majority of his life in the Converse area graduating from Oak Hill High School in 2014. In high school he was known as a friend to all not just to a chosen few. He was fiercely loyal and would go to bat for anyone he considered a friend. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard and honorably served until his passing.

Jordon worked as a laborer for several companies in the Grant County area until a tragic accident disabled him from the workforce. That accident changed his life because he never gave up or gave in to negativity despite his disability. Always with a positive outlook and a strong will Jordon took on his second chance at living with fresh perspective.Most recently Jordon acquired his first home and his first car. He was very proud of himself for this accomplishment and a true testament to fighting odds and limitations.

He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and hiking. Jordon was a gun enthusiast and also enjoyed target shooting. Spending time with his daughter and family were highlights to his days. His sense of humor was sometimes biting but never hurtful in any way. He brought laughter and love to all who knew him.

Jordon is survived by his mother, Michelle G. Richards, Swayzee; daughter, Denni N. Richards, at home; brother, Michael W. Richards, II, Swayzee; sisters, Amanda G. Richards, Marion; Bethaney P. Richards, Converse; Taylor J. Roberts, Swayzee; maternal grandparents, Donnie (Vicky) Huddleston, Converse; paternal grandparents, Richard (Peggy Richards) Clemons, Marion; nieces and nephews, Nevaeh Ropp, Braelynn Aguilar, Isaiah Richards, Noah Pena; a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael W. Richards.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30,2018 from 11am-2pm in Grace Community Church, 1810 East Bradford Pike, Marion. The funeral will begin at 2pm with Dr. Thomas Mansbarger officiating. Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Larrison-Martin Chapel, 308 East Marion Street, Converse, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements. In accordance with Jordon’s wishes he will be cremated following his funeral and his burial will take place privately at a later date.
