Johnny Evans, age 66, of Andrews, IN and formerly of Rush, KY, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 3:22 am at his home. He worked in construction remodeling houses. He was a member of Flatwood Church of Christ, Flatwood, KY, and enjoyed going to flea markets.
Johnny was born October 15, 1950 in Grayson, KY, the son of Robert and Betty (Stewart) Evans. In June, 2005 he married his beloved wife Sharon Hutchison in Grayson and she survives in Andrews. Also surviving are a step-son Gary (Karen) Rice of Andrews, step-daughter Sherry (Dan) VanBuren of Colorado Springs, CO, 10 grandchildren, a great-grandson, 5 sisters Elizabeth Wilburn of Lorraine, OH, Janie Wilburn of Ashland, KY, Naomi Wilkins of Rising Fawn, GA, Jill Snodgrass of Jacksonville, FL, and Judy Shaffer of Jacksonville, FL, and a brother David Evans of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Evans and 2 sisters Fannie Sheran and Alice Peterson.
There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at a later date in Grayson, KY.
