John Mark Sutton, 60, died at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 14, 2016.
John was born on June 27, 1955 in Peru to Jack W. and Marilyn (Denton) Sutton. He was a 1973 graduate of Peru High School, and attended Brigham Young University. He worked for 27 years with his father Jack at Sutton’s Standard Station, 105 West Main, and later at Bryan Steam Corp. He was an avid fisherman, a member of Bassmasters, and was feared by fish everywhere.
He is survived by his parents, and two sisters: Jane Sutton of Miami Beach, FI, and Julie (Ritch) Shepherd of Orem, Ut. Also, four brothers: Jeffrey (Teresa) Sutton of Carmel, In; Jerome “Jerry” (Janie K.) Sutton of Centennial, Co; Joseph (Lynne) Sutton of McCordsville, In; and Jordan (Angie) Sutton of Livonia, Mi. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, 2 great nieces, and 1 great nephew.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016.
