John F. Wagner, 91 of Huntington passed away at 7:44pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice. John worked as a pastor for several years. He was a member of College Park United Brethren Church. He loved his family and his dog.
John was born on October 4, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of John C. and Berneta G. (Erickson) Wagner.
He was united in marriage to Jean Carlson on August 28, 1948 in Bellmore, New Jersey. She preceded him in death on October 30, 1996.
Survivors include three sons: Bud (Rosie) Wagner of Lodi, CA; John (Nancy) Wagner of Warren; Glenn (Terri) Wagner of Valparaiso; two daughters: Marilyn (Paul) White of Largo, FL; Bev (Todd) Carpenter of Huntington; eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Roger Wagner, a daughter-in-law: Carolyn Wagner, a sister: Berneta Wagner, two grandchildren: Heidi Wagner, John Wagner and a great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10:00am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Gary Dilley officiating.
Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
