John Eastman Reed, 56 of Marion, Indiana died Thursday April 6, 2017 at his residence. John was born June 5, 1960 at Junction City, Ky and was the son of the late Perry Eastman and the late Eissie Marie (Taylor) Reed. He had formerly worked as a logger for a logging company in Buffalo, Indiana.
John enjoyed fishing, fixing things, playing cards and was enjoyable to be with. He loved to spoil his grandchildren.
Survivors include, wife Joanne L. (Walls) of Marion, daughters; Pricilla Reed, Lulabelle Reed, Helen Timmons, Loretta Timmons all of Marion, IN and a son John David Reed.
Sisters; Shirley (Gene) Timmons, Marion, IN Nancy Scarbrough, Stanford, Ky Geraldine Webb, Lake City, Fl. Brother, Harold (Tammy) Reed, Monticello, IN. 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Best friends Pat and Buster Reed both of Matthews, IN
He is preceded in death by brothers, William, Bobby, Mervin, Vernon, and Michael Reed, Charlie and Tommy Taylor. Sisters, Lulabelle Corey, Lillian Reed, Fay Reed and Dorothy Taylor.
Funeral services for John will be 4:00 PM Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, College Park Chapel 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN with visitation from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions are to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
