Jody L. (Gillespie) Skeens, 45 of Warsaw and formerly of Huntington passed away early Friday morning on February 12, 2016 at her residence. Jody attended Huntington North High School. She later received her GED. Jody was a homemaker. She was an avid fan of the NFL, especially Brett Favre and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jody was a music lover and among her favorite bands were Breaking Benjamin, Nirvana and Stone Sour. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of her family, many times putting their needs over her own.
She was born on January 15, 1971 in Huntington, the daughter of David A. and Kathy S. (Louthan) Gillespie.
She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Skeens in July, 2012; they had been together since May of 1992. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include – 2 Sons: Dustin Riley and Ashton (Isabella) Skeens both of Huntington. 2 Daughters: Fallon Skeens (15) and CaiRyn Skeens (13) both of Warsaw and 3 grandchildren: Alayna, Landyn and Hazel. A sister: Amanda Gillespie of Zanesville; her parents: David and Kathy Gillespie of Huntington, Maternal Grandmother: Ellen Baker of Fort Myers, FL and her Mother in Law: Geraldine Mangun of Mentone.
There will be no public Services or Visitation. Private family services will take place at a later date.
