Jerry H. Leary, age 56 of Roanoke, and formerly of New Castle, Delaware, passed away Monday November 21, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was a professional painter by trade. He enjoyed his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed music and especially loved playing the guitar. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
Jerry was born November 19, 1960, in Washington DC, the son of Edward J. and Doris (Tongue) Leary. He is survived by his beloved wife of many years Michelle Cooper Leary. He is also survived by a son Jerry Edward Leary of Johnson city, TN, two step-sons Larry Coleman Jr. (Yvonne) of Huntington and Eric Anthony Coleman (Dea) of Roanoke, 9 grandchildren, 2 sisters Gaylynne Giliberto (Jamie) of MI and Tammy Leach (Clay) of TN, a brother Jeffrey Leary (Diane) of DE, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Brent Leary.
A private family visitation will be held at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes.
