Janet S. Powell, age 77, of Roanoke, IN, passed away December 25, at 8:35 pm at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, IN. She belonged to Faith Lutheran Church-Roanoke, IN. She retired from Navistar Engineering after 30 + years of service.
Janet was born March 11, 1940, in New Haven, IN, the daughter of Homer and Thresa (Baumle) Trowbridge. In 1980. she married her beloved husband of 37 years Ed Powell in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and he survives in Roanoke. Also surviving are a son Greg Fabini (Maureen Maher) of Fort Wayne, IN, and four step children James (Jenny) Powell of Fort Wayne, Mitchel (Liz) Powell of Columbia City, IN, Jason (Emily) Powell of Piercton, IN, Reena (Jason) Mckee of Fort Wayne, IN. 17 grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren Two brothers Keith Trowbridge, Leo, IN and Gary Trowbridge Syracuse, IN.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church-Roanoke, IN, with Pastor Shayne Jonker officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
