Janet S. Larkey, 79, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 8:40 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Larkey was born on September 7, 1937, in Wabash, IN, to Russell and Edith (Wooten) Beeler. Her parents preceded her in death. Janet married Jerry Larkey on December 30, 1957. He survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Larkey was a bus driver for Huntington County Community Schools and Warsaw Community. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality, Huntington, IN.
Along with her husband she is survived by two daughters, Julie (David) Hammer, Roanoke, IN, Janie (Chris) Deranger, Westlake, LA; one brother, Richard Beeler, Fort Wayne, IN; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Jerry R. Larkey; and two brothers, Paul Beeler and Don Beeler.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
A funeral service will follow the calling hours on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Stephen Colchin presiding.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
