Jamie R. Seitter, 50, Peru, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, with his beloved wife by his side. Jamie was born November 24, 1966 to Russell Seitter and Patricia (Green) Garver. On March 11, 1995 Jamie married his best friend Rachel Ingalsbe and she survives.

As a child and even after Jamie returned from the Navy, he was a paper carrier for the Peru Tribune. After high school Jamie joined the United States Navy and served from 1987-1991. While in the Navy, Jamie was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida aboard the USS Luce. After the Navy, Jamie came back to Peru and became a DJ for WARU for appr. 3 Years. He enjoyed coaching baseball at Peru Little League (Minor League Indians) for 13 years. He also DJ’d for Mize’s DJ Service for over 20 years and weddings were his specialty. He has been a steam plant operator and supervisor for Logansport State Hospital for 21+ years. He was also a sound engineer for Great Faith Christian Center.

Jamie is survived by his wife of 22 years, one daughter, Kayla (Nick) Ingalsbe-Carter, Logansport; two sons, Jamie (Brittany) Russell Seitter II, Grand Bay, Alabama; Joshua (Heather) Andrew Ingalsbe, Peru; seven grandchildren, Nakoah, Lilly Jean, Elijah, Oden, Caleigh, Milo and Mia Lynn; four sisters, Sharon Cauthen, Peru; Teresa Cagle, Peru; Melinda Beck, Kokomo; Manda (John) Rogers, Converse; four step-sisters, Kim, Jane, DeDe and Rosa; step-brother, Michael; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; his good friend George Mize and his Great Faith Christian Center family in Kokomo.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Rowland (Dutch) Garver, also his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at Riverview Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Romon Oglesby. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Riverview Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery with Military Honors.
