James Stewart Romary

James Stewart Romary, 76, Roanoke, IN, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Grey Stone Health and Rehab in Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Romary was born July 24, 1941 in Fort Wayne, IN to Cyril and Thelma (Armstrong) Romary. His parents preceded him in death.
Jim married Joyce E. Young on June 10, 1966. She preceded him in death on November 26, 1994.

Mr. Romary was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1965 graduate of International Business College. Mr. Romary is a retired salesman. He worked for Durkee Food for 25 years and also worked at Harold Lincoln, Toledo, OH. Mr. Romary was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Jim was a member of the American Legion Post #160, Roanoke, IN and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke, IN. He had a great neighborhood group of friends who would congregate at “Jim’s Garage” for fellowship and stories. Jim also enjoyed boating.
Survivors include one son, Kevin (Tammy) Romary, Huntington, IN; and three sisters, Betty (the late Glenn) Hallgren, Noblesville, IN, Carol (James) Kohrman, Fort Wayne, IN, and Patricia (Lester) Berkheiser, Willis, TX. Mr. Romary is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many family and friends.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN. Additional calling will be Friday prior to the Mass from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 641 N Main Street, Roanoke, IN with Father Dale Bauman presiding.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Diabetes Association in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
