James N. Goodpaster, age 77, of Marion, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 in his home.
James was born February 7, 1939 in Owensville, Kentucky to the late Joe and Lenna (Manley) Goodpaster. He attended Bath County Schools and graduated from Bath County High School. He went in to the Army in 1957, and was stationed in Korea. He then worked at General Tire in Marion for 17 years and at SCM, Marion and Dana in Andrews until his retirement.
He is survived by three sons, Robert (Sue) Huffman of Frankton, Indiana, Jeff (Tina) Huffman of Converse, Indiana and Brian (Debbie) Goodpaster of Marion, Indiana; a daughter, Lisa (Daniel) Reynolds of Logansport; a sister, Katherine (John) Johnson of Marion, Indiana and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana following the funeral service.
