James Lee Cassidy September 12, 1945 ~ May 15, 2016
James Lee Cassidy, 70, Marion, died at 1:16 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Colonial Oaks Health and Rehab, Marion. He was born in Marion, IN, to the late Schuyler and Jean (Payne) Cassidy.
James was previously employed with Marion City Parks and Recreation Dept., Active Products, and the Line Corporation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. James also loved watching Westerns and loved his children dearly; they were his life.
Survivors include a son, David Cassidy, Marion; daughter, Missy Cassidy, Marion; sister, Lois (Cal) Skinner; brothers, Mike (Mary) Cassidy and Michael (Debby) Cassidy; step-children, Paul, Cliff, and Lee Lines, and Vicki Zarlingo; sister-in-law, Kathy Carlson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Cassidy.
The family will receive visitors from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Grant Memorial Park Chapel, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.
A funeral service for James will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the cemetery chapel with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
