James L. Adkins, age 60, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at home.
He was born on October 10, 1955, in Marion, Indiana to the late James Adkins and Ann (Anderson) Adkins. His mother survives.
He married Donna DePoy on July 24, 1993, and she also survives. James earned his Associates Degree from Vincennes University and was a Mill Wright Union worker. He was an artist, and enjoyed woodworking and building things. He especially loved working on the house.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Adkins of Marion; mother Ann Adkins of Marion; daughter, Meagon (Adam) Orr of Marion; brother, Rick (Stacy) Adkins of Marion; sister Debi (Monty) Larimore of Converse; his very special granddaughter, Mia Orr; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. There will be no funeral services. Cremation will follow.
