James Juse

James Juse, 90, Marion, died at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, in his home. He was born in Austin, Minnesota, to the late John M. and Mary E. Juse.

James was a 1943 graduate of Wisconsin Rapids Community High School, where he played baseball and basketball. He served as 2nd Class Ordinance in the Navy from 1943-1946 and as Staff Sergeant in the Army from 1948-1952. Following his military service, he moved to Indiana and attended Tri-State College in Angola for two years. He was a truck driver for North American Van Lines and also previously worked for several other trucking companies.

He was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the Chicago Cubs (“Go Cubs Go”) and the Indianapolis Colts.

Survivors include his sister, Mildred Heide, San Jose, California; nephew, Larry Juse, Sheboygan, Wisconsin; caregiver, Lou Reynolds; and good friend, Robert Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Juse.

Graveside services will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Marion National Cemetery with full military honors.
