James (Jim) William Austin, 51, Peru, passed away peacefully with his wife Jill and loving family members by his side.
Jim is survived by his wife Jill, sons, Zachary Austin (Alecia); Travis and Payton Austin; granddaughter, Allie and grandson, Apollo; parents, Richard and Corine Austin; sister, Mary Jo Austin. He was bless to have many aunts; uncles; sisters; brother-in-laws; cousins; nieces and nephews. Jim would say he had “the best in-laws a man could ask for.”
Jim was a member of The Peru Moose Lodge, where he has met some of his best friends. He worked for 3 years at Chrysler before becoming ill and having to go on leave. Jim was an avid sports fan of the Chicago Bears, Notre Dame, Cubs, IU, and Alabama. He loved to fish every chance he got! He would say “it was his calming place”!
Jim was preceded in death by a brother James; sister-in-law, Summer; grandparents, Crawford’s and Austin’s, and a grandmother Marie Bolin.
Sadly he will be missed by so many, but Never Forgotten! There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 25,2016 at The Peru Moose Lodge, starting at 12:00pm, with a Memorial Tribute to honor Jim’s life at 1:00pm. The family asks that any memorial contributions be made in the honor of grandchildren Apollo James Austin and Alexandria Jean Manchester.
