Honeywell Foundation Hosts Annual Winter Bash

 

WABASH, IN – The Honeywell Foundation will host its popular annual event “Winter Bash” over two weeks from December 26th through January 4th at various Honeywell Foundation venues including the Honeywell Center, the Dr. James Ford Home and the Charley Creek Gardens.  All activities are free and open to the public. Winter Bash is sponsored by Terrell Realty Group, LLC.

Winter Bash is a great way for students on break to liven up their vacation time by attending these fun-filled days:

During the last week of December, Free Movies will be offered in the Ford Theater! Show times are 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.

o Tues., Dec. 26 – Inside Out

o Wed., Dec. 27 – Moana

o Thurs., Dec. 28 – Finding Dory

o Fri., Dec. 29 – The Lion King

During the first week of January, other Honeywell Center Activities – Tues., Jan. 2 – Thurs., Jan 4

o Scandinavia- themed Art Projects with Candie Cooper at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Nationally recognized artist and author Candie Cooper will lead a different art project each day of Winter Bash. Projects will include making a needle-felted gnome, a tin-punch with a Nordic design, and a painted Swedish Dala horse. A photo booth will be available to take a picture with your project after the workshop. Although reservations are not required, spaces are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. It is best to arrive early!

o Roller Skating from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.  For those who love to skate, the Honeywell Center will host Family skating sessions which provide an ideal time for the entire family to come to exert some energy!  It is also the perfect time for beginners as the skating will be at a slower pace. All skaters should be accompanied by an adult. (For safety and to provide the best experience, skating will be limited to 100 guests.)

Dr. James Ford Home Activities — Tues., Jan. 2 to Thurs., Jan 4

o Historic craft and activities — 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Charley Creek Gardens Activities — Tues., Jan. 2 to Thurs, Jan 4

o Nature Walk & Bird Seed Bagel-making – 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Take a relaxing nature walk through the Gardens and then make a bird seed bagel to hang at home.
