Hazel I. Yeiter Sunday

Hazel I. Yeiter Sunday, age 104, of Huntington, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Bill Rapp officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Trinity United Methodist Church, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Hazel was born on September 20, 1913 in Hamilton, North Dakota, the daughter of William J. and Grace L. (Hopkins) Yeiter. She graduated from Hamilton High School in North Dakota in 1931 and married Elton R. Sunday on April 16, 1932 in Huntington; he preceded her in death on September 20, 1975 after 43 years of marriage. Hazel was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntington. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Floral Chapter #75 and Women of the Moose in Huntington.

Survivors include a grandson, Jeffry (Darla) Caley of Huntington; five great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, and a great-great-great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Gerry K. Caley, six brothers, Frank Yeiter, Walter Yeiter, Levi Yeiter, William Yeiter, George Yeiter, and Orville Yeiter, and three sisters, Leona Nein, Paulena Meagher, and Luella Bowers.
