H. Virginia Fenner

H. Virginia Fenner, 84, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Wesleyan Health Care Center. She was born in Blackduck, Minnesota, on August 4, 1933, to the late George and Hazel (Harvey) Bye. She married Charles “Chuck” Fenner, and he preceded her in death.

Virginia was a graduate of Blackduck High School and worked as an office assistant throughout her career. She was an avid reader and loved to work in her flower and vegetable gardens. Following her retirement, Virginia was very involved in helping seniors at Union Chapel and at Colonial Oaks.

She is survived by her children, Lyn (Roger) Ricks, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Deborah (Mike) Poe, North Port, Florida, and Erick (Melody) Lenuson, Marion; son-in-law, Jim Hendershot, Muncie; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Leonard Bye, Genevieve Swanson, Norma (Clayton) Finseth, and Beverly Charlton, all from Blackduck.

Virginia was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Hendershot, and two brothers, George and Sigurd.

At the family’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.
