Gregory “Greg” Alan Blue

Gregory “Greg” Alan Blue, 63,  Fifield, Wisconsin went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, Wisconsin, surrounded by his family.

Born on July 30, 1954, in Logansport, Indiana, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Marjorie Joan Polk Blue. On July 10, 1976, at the Erie United Methodist Church, he married his college sweetheart, Teresa S. Butt.

Greg was a graduate of Purdue University and worked as a lumberjack, real-estate investor, and seller of specialty lumber. He was known for his old-fashioned sense of humor, big heart, and love for the outdoors. His hobbies included storytelling, hunting, fishing, and running dogs. Above all else, Greg loved to spend time with his family, teasing the grandchildren, and listening to praise music. His favorite songs were Diamonds by Hawk Nelson and Shoulders by For King and Country. Greg also enjoyed the uplifting worship services at Family Worship Center in Park Falls, Wisconsin, where he and Teresa attended regularly.

He will be missed by his loving wife, Teresa S. Blue, Fifield, WI; two daughters, Kelly Blue and Katherine (Daniel) Schilling; three grandchildren, Signe, Kenny, and Petra; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Davenport, and a niece, Jessie Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2017, at Peru Grace Brethren Church, Peru, Indiana, with Pastor Ron Bowland officiating.  Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2017, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.
