Glennis K. Felton, 97, of Heritage Pointe of Warren, IN, formerly of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 8:50 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Heritage Pointe in Warren. She was born on Thursday, September 09, 1920, in Jackson Twp, Wells County,IN. She married Bernohn Felton on Sunday, April 16, 1939; he passed away in 1985. Glennis graduated fromJackson Twp. High School in WellsCounty and Wayne University of Beauty Culture in Fort Wayne. She owned and operated a beauty shop for over 58 years in Van Buren. She was a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church, Epta Epsilou Latriena Club, and the Marion General Hospital Aux. Glennis enjoyed traveling and will be greatly missed by her family.
Loving survivors include her only child- Larry (Judy) Felton, Marion, IN, Granddaughters – Julie (Patrick) Kennan, Gas City, IN, Tracey (Keith) Holmes, Marion, IN, Stephanie (Terrance Johnson) Felton, Fort Wayne, IN, Julie (Larry) Cole, Lafayette, IN, Joni (Bill) White, Ft. Wayne, IN, 3 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her: Father – Glen Lee, Mother – Pearlie Glee (Mills) Lee, Husband – Bernohn Felton, Brothers – Gerald Lee, Glen Keith Lee, Grandson – Scott Harris and Great Granddaughter – Danielle Norris Stalling.
In honoring her wishes, there will be a private family service on Monday, January 15, 2018 with the Van Buren United Methodist Minister officiating, Pastor Cindy Osgood. Interment will follow in the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
