Glen S. Talbott, 73, Marion, died in his residence at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017. He was born in Marion to Thomas M. and Enola (Sparks) Talbott. He married Karen Coty on March 1, 1964, and she survives.
Glen graduated from Marion High School and enlisted in the National Guard in 1964. He was an engineer with Delco and previously owned TV Stereo Electronics. Glen was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Marion, and he enjoyed wood crafting, gardening, and photography.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Karen; children, Glen P. (Michelle) Talbott, Indianapolis, Michael C. Talbott, Nashville, Tennessee, and Lynaya (Kurt) Harte, Nashville; siblings, Thomas M. (Sandy) Talbott, Jr., Marion, Richard (Diane) Talbott, Marion, and Barbara (Richard) Rider, Marion; grandchildren, Brittany, Nolan, and Austin Talbott; and great-grandchild, Remi Wetzel.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his step-father, Robert Davidson.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Services for Glen will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Ave., Marion, IN, with Pastor William Lahrman officiating. Additional visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
