Gilbert K. “Rick” Ricker Jr., age 67, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. He worked for the forestry service in Priest River, Idaho, then as a laborer with Laborers International Union of North America #213 of Fort Wayne for over 20 years. He enjoyed collecting and dealing in antiques. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting arrowheads, and metal detecting.
Rick was born January 11, 1950, in Fort Wayne, the son of Gilbert K. and Elizabeth (Brewer) Ricker. He is survived by 3 sons Wes Ricker of Huntington, Travis (Jana) Ricker of Huntington, and Cole Ricker of California, 3 grandchildren Bryden Ricker of Huntington and Hollie and Sage Ricker of Texas, a sister Deb Lineback of Huntington, a brother Greg (Lisa) Ricker of Huntington, and his dog Jack. He was preceded in death by a son Seth Ricker.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, September 30 from 2-4 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel.
