Geraldine “Jerri” B. Haynes, 79, of Fairmount, Indiana, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 17, 2016 at University Health Care in Upland.
Geraldine was born August 26, 1936 in Summitville, Indiana one of seven children born to the late Elbert Benson and the late Goldie Wiles Benson. She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1954. Jerri Loved doing taxes. She worked for H&R Block for 20 years. When she retired in 1984, she owned and operated her own tax service from 1985 to 1996. She married Paul E. Haynes on March 12, 1971. Paul Survives in Fairmount along with her beloved Jack Russell, “Daisy”. Jerri also loved to read, knit and visit with her best friend Bea.
Also surviving are four children: Cindy (Randy) Cain, Indianapolis, Phil (Michelle) Johnson, Warsaw, IN, Brenda (Bob) Hughes, Ft. Wayne, IN and Robert Johnson, Marion, IN. Also Rick (Pam) Haynes and Lana Bayless both of Fairmount, IN
Sister, Marjorie (Kenneth) Aiman Ft. Meyers, FL,
15 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where the family will received friends on Monday, March 21, 2106 from 4-6 PM. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6.
