George R. Paul, 90 of Warren and formerly of Markle passed away at 2:14 am on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Heritage Pointe of Warren. George was a 1944 graduate of Jefferson Center High School in Huntington County. He was a 1957 graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences. George first enlisted in the Army in 1945, serving during WWII. He later joined the Air Force serving from 1950 – 1966, serving during the Korean Conflict. He received the promotion to Major in 1964, he retired in 1966.

George was born on December 25, 1926 in North Judson, Indiana the son of Palmer and Helen (Huffman) Paul.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Boulware on January 27, 1945 in Warren. His wife of 72 years survives.

Additional survivors include a son: George (Ginger) Paul of Angola; one daughter: Suzann Paul of Ossian; son-in-law: Darrell G. Murray of Bluffton; a sister: JoAnn Trout of Warren; two stepbrothers: Joseph Huber of Warren; David Huber of Upland; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Terry Ann Murray; two brothers: Jack K. Paul; Perry A. Paul; a daughter-in-law: Linda (Embree) Paul and his stepfather: Guy Huber.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service.

The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date at Markle Cemetery.

In leiu of flowers memorial donations can be made out to Cancer Services of NE Indiana in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
