Geneva M.(Wood) Wilson, 82, died Monday, April 10, 2017 at her Summitville, Indiana residence.
Geneva was born in Edmonton, Kentucky on December 10, 1934, daughter of the late William Gladys and Bessie M. (Fields) Wood. She married Howard L. Wilson on December 27, 1950 in Edmonton, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2013. Geneva was a homemaker and a member of the Ravenna Separate Baptist Church in Edmonton, Kentucky. She enjoyed fishing, playing Skip Bo, Ginseng digging, crocheting and quilting.
Geneva is survived by daughters; Kathy Rector, Summitville, IN, Sandy (George) Thomasson, Edmonton, KY , son-in-law, Jim Havens, Fairmount, IN, Sister, Sarah (John) Creamer, Marion, IN, grandchildren; Angie (Coby) Huggins, Summitville, IN, William “Billy” (Sara) Hart, Edmonton, KY, J.A. (Laura) Hart, Columbia, KY, Jeremy Havens, Fairmount, IN and Judd (Ashley) Havens, Marion, IN, several step grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Along with her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by her daughter Rita “Susie” Havens and her brother Von Wood.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 4-8 PM. Funeral service for Geneva is Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10 AM with Pastor Johnny Davis and Pastor Alex Beane officiating. Burial will follow at Vinson Cemetery in Summitville, Indiana.
