Gary Wayne Eltzroth, 64, of Markle, IN, passed away peacefully at 10:45 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2016 his home in Markle, IN with his family by his side.  He was born on Sunday, August 10, 1952, in Huntington, IN.  He married Linda Harness on Friday, November 22, 1974 in Plumtree, IN.  Gary attended Huntington North High School; after high school he served in the US Army as a specialist 5during Vietnam. Serving 2 tours in the 220th catkillers and was also a door gunner. He was currently working as a truck driver at First Fleet in Bluffton. Gary enjoyed golfing, helping others with remodeling projects and watching football; especially Notre Dame.

 

Loving survivors include:Wife – Linda (Harness) Eltzroth, Markle, IN, Son – Shane Edward (Angie) Eltzroth, Warren, IN, Son – Ryan Wayne Eltzroth, Huntington, IN, Daughter – Felecia Faith (Travis) Jeffries, Marion, IN, Son – Joshua Adam (Nikki) Eltzroth, Huntington, IN, Grandchildren – Austin Eltzroth, Brock Eltzroth, Cole Eltzroth, Grayson Eltzroth, Treytin Smith, Kycin Jeffries, Allison Eltzroth and two expected grandchildren due in December and May, Mother – Phyllis (Yeiter) Eltzroth, Warren, IN Brother – Roger (Joy) Yeiter, Huntington, IN, Sister – Brenda Barton, AL, Brother – Ed Eltzroth, Warren, IN, Sister – Pam Koons, Bluffton, IN, Sister – Rhonda (Jim)Howard, Andrews, IN, Sister – Soundra (Larry) Schieber, Huntington, IN, Sister – Mary Bustos, Ossian, IN, Brother – Terry (Kim)Eltzroth, Liberty Center, IN and Sister – Susan (Jim) Martin, Warren, IN, In Laws-Harold & Phyllis Harness, Warren, IN and Brother in law-Don Harness, Pennville, IN. He was preceded in death by his Father – Harry Eltzroth.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Healing Waters Ministry 5811 W. 606 S. Huntington (Mt. Etna) 46750 on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM. Military honors will be conducted at the beginning of the memorial service, by the Huntington Co. Honor Guard at 2:30PM.  A service to celebrate Gary’s life will follow the honors with Pastors Arley Higginbotham, Wayne Couch and Bruce Warner officiating. 

 

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer gifts to keep and cherish, such as chimes, throws, etc. Memorial donations in honor of Gary can be made out to the Warren Vol. Fire Dept. PO Box 373 Warren, IN

 

Arrangements are being handled by Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
