Gary Warren Heath, 67, of Huntington, Indiana, died at 12:33 pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born December 29, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Warren and Betty (Colyer) Heath.

Gary was a 1966 graduate of Southwood High School and received his bachelors degree from Ball State University. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran and served 13 months in Vietnam. He married Delores “Ann” Cox in Huntington, Indiana in May of 2007. Gary was the former President of Spiece Inc., owned Denim Express in Marion, Indiana, and was a former life insurance salesman. Gary was a member of the Huntington American Legion Post 85 and the Wounded Warrior Project. He was an avid outdoorsman, bow hunter, fisherman, golfer, history buff, and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He lived most of his life in LaFontaine, and the past 20 years in Huntington.

He is survived by his wife, Delores “Ann” Heath of Huntington, two children, Steve (Lori) Heath of LaFontaine, Indiana and Lora (Chris) Cartwright of Andrews, Indiana, three step-children, Adam (Melissa) Brock of Marion, Elizabeth (Brandon) Blake of Anderson, Indiana, and Steven McDaniel of Berne, Indiana, four grandchildren, Cash Cartwright of Andrews, Haley Heath, Taylor Heath, and Carson Heath, all of LaFontaine, 10 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, and two brothers, Wayne (Jean Ann) Heath and David (Diana) Heath, both of LaFontaine. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Gene Heath.

Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, May 13, 2016 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Brad Wright officiating. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is the Wounded Warrior Project.
