G. Richard (Dick) Landgrave, age 70, went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, March 9th, 2016.
He was born September 10, 1945, in Peru, Indiana to George R. and Vivienne (McReynolds) Landgrave. He graduated from Peru High School in 1963 and served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968, stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama as a crew chief on Chinook Helicopters. After the Army, he began working at Square D Company and continued working for 38 years until his retirement. He married the former Susan Mavrick in 1971 and she survives.
Also surviving are two children, Chris (Sunshine) Landgrave, Crown Point, IN and Catherine (Scott) Zimmerman, Warsaw, IN three grandchildren, Alexandra Landgrave, Jonah and Micah Zimmerman. Also, a sister, Suzanne Peacock, Jacksonville Beach, FL and sister-in-laws Charlotte Hill, Syracuse, IN and Sharon (Jodie) Mavrick, Peru, IN. Also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert Hill.
Richard was very active in the Peru Grace Brethren Church and his hobby of buying and selling cars was well known throughout the county.
Funeral services are Monday, March 14th at 11:00 AM at the Peru Grace Brethren Church, (430 S. Broadway) with visitation at Flowers-Leedy Funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
