Frieda M. Ulm

Frieda M. Ulm, age 91, of Huntington, died at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Visitation will be from 1 – 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington, 1180 West 500 North, Huntington, Indiana. Visitation will follow from 4 – 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Bill Rapp officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Etna Cemetery in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to Huntington Area Transportation (HAT), in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Frieda was born on November 11, 1926 in Polk Township, Huntington County, the daughter of Harley and Eva (Thompson) Bailey. She graduated from Polk Township High School in 1944 and married A. Dean Lawrence on January 2, 1944; he preceded her in death on August 3, 1970. She married Francis C. Ulm on November 20, 1971, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1976. She worked as an inspector at Memcor for 29 years and was a member of Farmer’s Wives Home Ec. Club. Frieda was a member of Loon Creek Church of the Brethren in Huntington, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed knitting and spent the last nine years of her life at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

She is survived by two daughters – Roma (Gary) White of Markle and Rowena (Timothy) Richardson of Huntington; a daughter-in-law – Connie Lawrence of Fort Wayne; a sister – Patricia (George) Krieg of Warren; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Ronald D. Lawrence, and a sister, Mary Evelyn Lewis.
