Fred B. Reynolds

Fred B. Reynolds, 72, Wabash, died at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre in Wabash. He was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, on March 16, 1945, to the late Clarence B. and Mary W. (Flaig) Reynolds. Fred married Jane Elizabeth Lynn, and she preceded him in death.

Fred was a graduate of Marion High School and a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. He was a machinist at General Cable for 14 years until his retirement and had previously worked at Memcor in Huntington for 11 years.

Fred was the type of person who was always “on the go” and loved tinkering with things. He was especially particular about his clothing and people would always see him wearing a flannel shirt and jeans. He loved to read westerns, go hunting and fishing, and take pictures of scenery. Fred also adored his cats, Smokie and Sox.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Susan Young; daughters, Tina (Bill) Otte, Oklahoma City, and Mistie (Jessie Freshwater) Reynolds, Marion; grandchildren, Clifton Reynolds, Christopher Reynolds, and Camren Reynolds, all from Marion; 4 great-grandchildren, Tavion, Owen, Zayden, and Ezrek; and half-brother, Craig Reynolds, Colorado.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Jane, Fred was preceded in death by his half-sister, Karen, and his best friend, Randy Southerland.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Fred’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
